Founded in 1892, Glen Arven is one of America’s oldest golf clubs. Glen Arven was a popular location for events when the PGA Tour made its appearance in the 1930s. Glen Arven has hosted two Georgia Amateur Championships and four Georgia Women’s Amateur Championships. This timeless track is famous for having what the New York Times deemed as “the most politically significant round of golf in American history” when then President Dwight D. Eisenhower announced that he was fit to run for a second term after walking up the hill on 18. Come experience the history surrounding one of the oldest clubs in America for yourself. Foursome with golf carts. Excludes Sunday afternoon and Saturday morning. Contact golf shop to schedule tee time. Expires 3/24/2025.
A note from GSGA Foundation: The GSGA Foundation Auction raises funds to support its Yates and Moncrief Scholarship Programs. For over 30 years, the Yates Scholarship Program has provided college grants to employees, and their dependents, at GSGA member clubs across the state. The Moncrief Scholarship Program honors deserving students in the field of agronomy and turf management at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, the University of Georgia, and students who work and live in Georgia but attend an accredited program outside of the state. We appreciate the support of all those who have generously donated rounds of golf for this auction.
Additionally, the GSGA Foundation enriches the lives of others through the game of golf by increasing opportunities for individuals with physical, cognitive, and sensory disabilities to play golf through our Adaptive Golf Program, and growing affordable access to golf for thousands of juniors through Youth on Course Georgia. The GSGA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation and contributions are tax-deductible.
