Nestled into the Johns Creek, GA, the Atlanta Athletic Club is a golfer’s paradise. Featuring two championship 18-hole golf courses, the club’s Highland course has been a popular location for many national events. Most recently the host of the 99th Georgia Amateur Championship, the Highlands Course has also been chosen as the host site for 3 PGA Championships (2011, 2001, 1981), the 1976 U.S. Open, the 2014 U.S. Amateur, the 2021 KPMG LPGA Championship, and the 2017 Arnold Palmer Cup to name a few. Some well-known members of the Atlanta Athletic Club include Bobby Jones and Charlie Yates. The club is also home to the plethora of Bobby Jones memorabilia. The Highlands course is 7613 yards from the Championship tees and a par 72. Come out and experience what it is like to play on one of Atlanta’s best championship courses. Golf for four on the Highlands Course. Please contact Director of Golf Bud Taylor at budt@aac1.org to schedule. Tuesday-Friday. Forecaddie required and fees to be covered by winning bidder. A note from GSGA Foundation: The GSGA Foundation Auction raises funds to support its Yates and Moncrief Scholarship Programs. For over 30 years, the Yates Scholarship Program has provided college grants to employees, and their dependents, at GSGA member clubs across the state. The Moncrief Scholarship Program honors deserving students in the field of agronomy and turf management at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, the University of Georgia, and students who work and live in Georgia but attend an accredited program outside of the state. We appreciate the support of all those who have generously donated rounds of golf for this auction.
Additionally, the GSGA Foundation enriches the lives of others through the game of golf by increasing opportunities for individuals with physical, cognitive, and sensory disabilities to play golf through our Adaptive Golf Program, and growing affordable access to golf for thousands of juniors through Youth on Course Georgia. The GSGA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation and contributions are tax-deductible.
