Host of three Georgia Amateur Championships, Green Island Country Club was founded in 1961 in Columbus, GA. In addition to the three Georgia Amateur Championships, the club also hosted two Georgia Women’s Amateur Championships. A note from GSGA Foundation: The GSGA Foundation Auction raises funds to support its Yates and Moncrief Scholarship Programs. For over 30 years, the Yates Scholarship Program has provided college grants to employees, and their dependents, at GSGA member clubs across the state.
