Coosa Country Club’s origin lie in the formation of a social club in 1909 by a local group of golf enthusiasts. In 1930, golf course architect Charles W. Hall designed the back nine to complement the original nine holes. In 1961, George Cobb redesigned the course, moving a few holes to make room for a practice range. Tree lined fairways with a few creeks and ponds, the course is beautifully structured whether walking or riding. Coosa Country Club has been a host site for the GSGA’s 100 Hole Hike to raise money to make golf more affordable for Georgia’s youth. Coosa Country Club has also hosted two GSGA Mid-Amateur Championships, seven Georgia Amateur Championships, and four Georgia Women’s Amateur Championships. Foursome with carts. Contact club to schedule tee time.

A note from GSGA Foundation: The GSGA Foundation Auction raises funds to support its Yates and Moncrief Scholarship Programs. For over 30 years, the Yates Scholarship Program has provided college grants to employees, and their dependents, at GSGA member clubs across the state. The Moncrief Scholarship Program honors deserving students in the field of agronomy and turf management at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, the University of Georgia, and students who work and live in Georgia but attend an accredited program outside of the state. For more information on the GSGA Foundation, visit https://www.gsga.org/foundation. We appreciate the support of all those who have generously donated rounds of golf for this auction. Thanks for your interest in our auction and its support of the GSGA Foundation!
